DIY Kitchen Hacks for Everyday

Well! Being a foodie is a great thing and food gives us foodies the energy to think and prevent different problems we face while cooking. These problems cannot stand in our way to food, so let us see what we have:

1) Chocolate chips usually settle at the bottom of cupcakes. Add a little bit of all-purpose flour into chocolate chips and then mix in the cupcakes.

2) Cheese usually becomes hard and changes its form when kept uncovered in fridge but now you can use an aluminum foil to wrap it and it will remain fresh for a long time. Never use a plastic wrap for it.

3) Mix 2 table spoon of bicarbonate soda in water and add half kg chickpeas, soak for 3-4 hours. This will make the chickpeas soft and easier to cook.

4) Get rid of garlic odor, rub your hands compellingly on stainless steel sink after working with garlic.

5) Sauté green vegetables before using, even in salads to prevent them from bacteria, which usually are present in green veggies.

6) Dry down the vegetables before stir-frying or else wise they will steam instead of frying.

7) Schmaltz (chicken fat) has great flavor so you can add it to enhance flavor, it is one of the tricks to make bbq taste much delicious.

8) Do you cry while cutting onion? Not now, because here is how you can save your tears. Use a piece of potato on the knife-edge. Now you can help your mom in the kitchen.

9) Toast your nuts and grains to build roasted and warm flavor.

10) Why throw it when you can utilize it. Keep carrot ends, fennel fronds and vegetable scrapes in reseal able plastic bag, make vegetable stock with them

11) Want to use the boiled noodles later as fresh as they are after boiling?
Not a problem! Refresh them in cold water, drain and they are ready.

12) Use a freezer bag or airtight container to store all-purpose flour. Keep in a dry and cool place.

13) Cornstarch acts as a binder so use it at the end.

14) Use a peeler to make design on lemons (now that is a great tip).

15) To remove the smell of mutton and beef, add a little bit of vinegar in it.

16) To maintain the color of boiled vegetables, add 2-table spoon of sugar in the boiling water.

17) For Chinese sauces and seasonings use fresh ginger instead of powdered.

18) Mix 2 table spoon of cooking oil in warm water for dough to make soft chapatti.

19) Never use cold eggs for baking because it is as important to bring them on room temperature as for butter.

20) Preferably, use one-day-old cooked rice or cold cooked rice for making fried rice.
