The boy from the small city of Faisalabad making it big in the metropolis of Lahore is a success story that can be quoted to many new entrants in any business. With no background in PR or event management and to step into a genre where personal affiliations and social standing makes all the difference, Bilal has had success where others have packed up and left the arena.
Bilal was born on May 20th, 1984 and completed his initial studies from Faisalabad. He has a degree in Mass Communication and has also done a course in Film Making from NCA. He decided to settle in Lahore because of its lively social and professional life. Bilal started his career as a Director in Fashion TV Pakistan. His switch to Event Management came when a friend of his, Khalid Sulman asked him to launch his culinary brand. The event was a super hit and there has been no looking back for Bilal since then. Bilal Mukhtar Events & PR has been a successful business for the past 7 years and what makes them stand apart from the competition are the unique and creative ideas offered to the clients and an absolute absence of tall claims and broken promises. What he says – he does! And a long line of satisfied clients can stand witness to his claim.
Bilal thinks Event Companies have come a long way over the past decade. A business savvy market, understands the importance of introducing their products to the target audience and recognize the role of an Event company in that process. His favorite clients are the ones who trust his judgment completely on how best to present and promote their product. Although he feels getting high quality work done in Pakistan is an uphill battle and the vendors Bilal uses for his work are unreliable and make his task slightly more difficult than if he was working in a more professionally responsible environment.
Bilal dresses casually for the summer, his favorite outfit being a comfortable pair of jeans and a tee. For winters one can see him in bright and colorful sweaters. His fashion statement is – BE YOURSELF! BM loves Tyra Banks and his favorite designers are HSY and Maria B, not just for their designs but also for the way both have penetrated the competitive market with their brilliant marketing strategies.
Although Bilal has travelled extensively his favorite holiday destination is the Big Apple, New York City! He relaxes with close friends and family and says he doesn’t have time to pursue any hobbies. Bilal Mukhtar lives for his work and it shows in the success he has achieved over the years. The month of March saw him as the top Event Manager in Lahore with the largest number of events held under the banner of BM Events & PR. These accomplishments have not gone to his head, he is still a down to earth, friendly and open person who will crack jokes, help out friends, give free advice and pick up a party with his entrance.
