Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal baby is on the way!

The royal couple are expecting their first child together!!!

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” Kensington Palace said in a statement.

“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”

In a special exhibition, curated by the @royal_collection_trust, visitors will be able see the wedding outfits worn by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex at their wedding, which took place on 19 May 2018. The exhibition will be at Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, and will include The Duchess’s dress, Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara, and the 5-metre long silk tulle veil that is embroidered with flowers from all 53 countries of the Commonwealth.

The happy news has come five months after their royal wedding on May 19. The couple began dating in July 2016 after meeting on a blind date and were first disclosed as a couple in October 2016. During their high-speed, long-distance courting, Harry and Meghan spent time together at each other’s respective homes in London and Toronto, where Markle filmed Suits. They now reside at Kensington Palace.

Doria Ragland, Meghan’s mother issued a statement via Kensington Palace, saying: “Ms. Ragland is very happy about this lovely news and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild.”

 Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton are also “delighted” for the couple, as per the palace. As are the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Sussex today. Their Royal Highnesses began the day in Chichester before making their way to Brighton to visit the iconic Royal Pavilion – which was transformed from a modest lodging house in the 18th century by King George IV. TRH also met young people at Peacehaven Youth Centre and visited the Survivors’ Network, a charity that supports survivors of sexual violence and abuse in Sussex. The royal to come will be joining an adorable set of cousins. Prince George and Princess Charlotte of Kate and Prince William, have been stealing the spotlight since they were welcomed into the world (including on Meghan and Harry’s wedding day!). And baby Prince Louis, 6 months, will be the perfect companion for his new cousin!
