“Load Wedding” is for sure going to put a lot of ‘load’ on the other two movies competing at the box office.
Where should I start from? Music. Oh yes! A collection of songs that weaves magic into the movie. Our most favourite is “Kooch Na Karin”- a Punjabi track by Azhar Abbas. The tune is endearing and mesmerizing. If you haven’t heard it yet, trust me you are missing something that is too melodious. The songs are seriously going to take you to the DDLJ times.
The duo Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Mirza already took the fans by storm when the trailer was launched. It is a story of two love birds “Raja” and “Meeru” and a “Kabab mein haddi – Baby Baji” 😛 Well what can you expect from a nand’s character? The most hilarious character “Baby Baji” is going to remind all the Bahus that had to deal with such kinda sister in laws 😛

Apart from this, it enlightens the main issue that our society is dealing with – “Wedding and Jahaiz”. Another issue that is portrayed is younger siblings not getting married due to elder ones still single. Don’t you think that the younger ones are going to be the same age in a while? And what if they had to go through the same phase? It is a very serious issue yet it sticks to entertain the audience with all the right ingredients. Load Wedding is a roller coaster ride with a plenty of beautiful chunks that you are going to love.
It is a mix of emotions, love, sacrifices, society pressures and most importantly how a family stays together through every thick and thin. Mehwish Hayat and Fahad Mustafa’s chemistry is commendable. The caste selection is tremendous and the movie showcases the true colors of Punjab and desi families.
Just a little hitch, the movie name doesn’t go with the story line. It is completely opposite of what we imagined when we first heard the word “LOAD WEDDING”. Also, the Punjabi accent could’ve been a little better of some of the cast.
Hoqever, it is a must watch that is going to lighten up your mood! Do watch on Bari Eid and share your thoughts with us!
Adios!
