Pakistan’s most renowned wildlife photographer Zahoor Salmi passed away in a road accident on 2nd March 2018 when his jeep fell into a ditch in Battgram, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to reports, Salmi was travelling with a friend, Farrukh Shehzad, who also died, when their jeep fell into a ditch. Battgram forest officials retrieved the dead bodies of Salmi and Shehzad on Saturday morning.
Zahoor Salmi was a legendary wildlife photographer who collaborated with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Pakistan in projects related to blind dolphins in River Indus. Numerous of his photos have been published by the National Geographic.
