25th Feb: Lahore’s celebrities, socialites, publicists and bloggers came together to celebrate the launch of Dera Husain, a farmhouse, on Bedian Road. The event was a social extravaganza with hors d’oeuvres and live music.
Prominent people among the attendees were Sehyr Saigol, Murad Saigol, Anush Ammar, Dr. Zarqa Taimur, Shafaq Habib, Mr and Mrs. Sultan Khan and Shazia Bhatti.
The event hit off with a live performance by Saad Hafiz accompanied by Husain Nawaz who played the guitar. The crowd also enjoyed singing by Hamza Bande, Hamza Nawaz and especially Sanwal Esakhelvi who did justice to his father’s evergreen track ‘Kameez Teri Kali’. The crowd sand along and participated by singing duets.
A live cooking station was set up by The Kitchen Lahore, Serving Fresh Salads, Pasta, Panini, Coffee, Tea and Desserts.
The host and owner of the picturesque Dera Husain, Dr Shafaq Husain, remained welcoming and hospitable till the end.

Dera Husain is now open for parties, after parties, corporate events and weddings with a car park catering more than 250 cars. It also has two outdoor washrooms with a bride room which can be used as green room or backstage having its own room, lounge, washrooms and kitchen.
