Transgender model Rimal Ali, who has dazzled us with her beauty multiple times before, is expected to make her cinematic debut in a new upcoming movie, Saath Din Mohabbat In. Honestly, the only reason we’re excited is to see Rimal showing her talent in it. We’re sure she’s going to rock! The film is directed by Meenu Gaur and Farjad Nabi and director of hits like Na Maloom Afrad, Rana Kamran. The cast also includes Sheheryar Munawar, Mira Sethi and Mahira Khan. Rimal is also expected to have a dance number with Sheheryar Munawar in the movie.
Rimal says that she was approached by producer Sanan Mahdi and that she knew she had to do it. She also adds that she cannot reveal the name of her character but let’s us know that she is playing as a transgender club dancer, which is why she has a dance number with Sheheryar.
It is great to see our movie industry progressing into a different path and showing diversity. Due to this, transgenders finally have a platform to show their talent to the world. Hopefully, they’ve given Rimal the character she deserves and we wish her the best of luck! The film is set to be released in 2018.
