Battle of the local lipsticks

We tested out local lipsticks with a very affordable price tag to see how they look and feel on the lips, and it’s safe to say that we were not disappointed. The lipsticks had AMAZING quality; they went on smoothly, had amazing pigmentation, were entirely matte and they had good staying power. Plus, they’re all under Rs.150, so get yourself some.

Medora:

Medora has been a cult favourtite for generations, and the quality hasn’t dwindled over the years. Their lipsticks are opaque, long lasting and easy going on the lips. Plus, they’re very very affordable, so definitely invest in a few colours.

BeCute:

BeCute is a strong contender in this list, because it has amazing quality. The pigmentation is there, so is the long lasting factor, and their lipsticks don’t make your lips feel chapped. Definitely worth investing in.

Rivaj UK:

We tried out both the bullet lipstick and lip crayon by Rivaj UK, and needless to say, they both performed equally well. The lipsticks are opaque and the oclours ae vibrant, the lip crayon in particular is very long lasting. Go ham and get yourself all the colours you love.

Christine:

Sadly, we only got to test out a single lipstick by Christine, but it was AMAZING. The red is so rich and dark and pigmented, it’s almost unbelievable, given the price of the lipstick. However, it does have a very strong perfume-y smell, which can be off-putting for some people.

Here’s our battle of the local lipsticks, and it’s safe to say that all of the lipsticks are pretty comparable. They’re rich in pigmentation and matte, but Medora in particular has a HUGE range of shades in comparison with all the other brands. Ladies, it’s time to expand your lipstick collection. Here’s a swatch comparison, in case you were curious.
