The launch in Faisalabad comes following the announcement by the company to invest $500 million in Pakistan as part of its plans to further focus on the market. The application is proving to be hugely popular in Pakistan and across the world. Faisalabad is the fourth city in the province of Punjab to get Uber, and the seventh city in Pakistan.
Currently, Uber is available in Pakistan’s 6 key cities; Karachi, Hyderabad, Lahore, Gujranwala and the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. One of Pakistan’s most popular youth icons and singer MominaMustehsan, was chosen to be Rider Zero for the launch in Faisalabad. Momina has recently made her mark in the Pakistani music industry with her beautiful voice.
