Sanam Jung and Qassam Jafri
Sanam Jung, talented actress and TV host, tying the knot with pilot Qassam Jafri was a brilliant way to kick start 2016! The wedding, overall was an extravagant and jubilant affair including a slow dance between the couple themselves. Sanam has great taste and dressing sense, and her Nikkah dress set the bar way too high.
The beautiful and unique combination of tea pink and off-white was perfect for the occasion and made her look absolutely fantastic. However, her Barat dress did not live up to its expectations and turned out to be rather disappointing and didn’t seem like it fit her well. But the day was saved by her extremely tasteful makeup which was soft enough to make her features stand out.

Nouman Javaid, eminent Pakistani singer, played with his fans’ curiosity while announcing his engagement as he posted blurred pictures of his fiancée and left it upon them to guess who the mystery woman was. To everyone’s delight the fiancée turned out to be none other than the famous actress Jana Malik. Their wedding ceremony was a relatively small and a private affair as all their functions were held in Lahore. However, they did promise to arrange a reception in honor of the media and friends from the Showbiz industry.
Anum Fayyaz and Asad Anwar
Young and gorgeous Pakistani drama actress, Anum Fayyaz, got hitched with her friend, Asad Anwar, on November 26, 2016 in Karachi. This was also a very private wedding and soon after which the adorable couple left for Umrah.
No doubt Anum looked absolutely beautiful in her light pink dress and soft makeup. However, it all was too main stream. With a gorgeous face like hers, she could have achieved great heights.

The stunning diva of Pakistani fashion industry, Rubya Chaudhry, tied the knot with the talented musician, Mekaal Hasan, on August 10, 2016. The news came as a surprise as the model and musician have never shown any signs of being in a relationship, but thanks to social media, the cats out of the bag. The supermodel who has set the ramp on fire countless time opted for the classic mehndi bride look with floral jewelry.
However, on her barat the beauty broke all traditions and wore a beautiful combination of plum beige—absolutely stunning!
Urwa Hocane and Farhan Saeed
2016 ended with the wedding of the most loved couple of the year. The lovebirds of Pakistani media industry, Urwa Hocane and Farhan Saeed recently got hitched on December 16, 2016 on their Nikkah ceremony in Badshahi Masjid, Lahore. Urwa wore traditional jewelry that was fit for the venue but her dress did not let her grace shine through and was a bit too over the top, if you ask me.
The wedding was an extravagant and unconventional as Urwa herself got up on the stage and danced with her sister and cousins. She definitely kept up with latest fashion while choosing her dress, which was festive, off-shoulder gown. Agreed, 2016 was a disappointed in many ways but it did not fail to provide us with beautiful couples and festive weddings. If this awakens the inner fairytale lover in you then 2017 might just turn out to be your year. Fingers crossed!
