5 Places to Visit in England if you’re a Pakistani

We all know that travel and food go hand in hand. Some people travel solely for the sake of food. If you are aiming for a long stay in England you should have these places noted down in your bucket list as these places will surely give your taste buds and your eyes a glimpse of your homeland – Pakistan. However, if you are going to England for a short stay, make sure to visit some of these magnificent desi eateries which have been set up by Pakistanis in England.

Tayyabs

This is England’s very own food street. It’s a little restaurant but the queues outside it are so long that it’s no less than a crowded food street full of both Pakistani and Indian cuisine lovers. Even though it’s Pakistani, people from all over the world rejoice in eating the meat which not only tastes but also smells like Pakistan. Moreover, you are bound to run into your eastern buddies or even better, you can make lots of Asian friends there. It has a few specialties but other than the food, the atmosphere there is surely going to make you feel nostalgic.

Lahore Kebab House

Talk about rivalry on the Eastern grounds! Just a street away another beauty is nestled. We don’t know which place exactly will send your taste buds tingling but we surely know that you’d find a lot of Lahoris and kebab lovers there!

Taste of Nawab

Indian it is, but surely with its poori channay and all the local dishes that the two countries have in common, it has taken people by storm. So if you are in the mood for a blend, you know what to try! Warning: It’s very spicy!!

Lotus

Sometimes when you are abroad, every now and then you are sure crave some scrumptious desi food (along with good company). Unlike all the other places mentioned in this list, Lotus has a vast variety of Indian and Pakistani dishes. It will not only make you fall in love with desi food but it will also introduce to you a hybrid of desi and continental food, something which rarely exists!

The Sitara

Even though people go there for Pakistani food, it’s widely known for other activities such as yoga and meditation teachings with a South Indian twist. It is also a great place to meet and communicate in groups with the individuals from your own homeland!

If you are a foodie, or a patriotic Pakistani, or if you are simply missing your Asian traditions, you know where to head to!
