We have become a society that totes hot liquids everywhere. Our palms seem to be permanently attached to an elongated cup with a plastic lid. And we need it to be a perfectly hot temperature! So, the perfect product just came up.
Clay Alexander came up with the idea of a coffee/tea temperature maintainer mug when the scrambled eggs he had cooked had gone cold within five minutes; thus, Ember with its first product, a coffee/tea temperature maintainer, was formed. The battery lasts for about two hours, but even after it dies, the coffee/tea stays warm for an additional two hours. You can choose the temperature anywhere from 120 to 145 degrees; the mug walls have an active heating and passive cooling system. When the hot liquid is poured in the mug, the phase changing material inside the mug absorbs the heat and stores it. The temperature is monitored by sensors and a microprocessor, so when it hits the temperature specified by the user, the heating system that is lined at the bottom of the mug starts working.
Another of its type, Coffee/Tea Temperature & Taste Maintainer maintains coffee/tea heat by 15 degrees over 30 minutes as well as lessens bitterness of coffee over same amount of time. It’s a Styrofoam disc, which simple floats on top of the coffee, keeping it hot for a longer period of time. As the heat attempts to escape, this disc simple slows the process.
Happy Hot Sipping!
