Kitchen tools/utensils are usually used for the purpose they are built for and are thrown away after we are done with them. But who said we had to be all goody two-shoes and follow the rules? Lets be a bit creative and turn those things into pieces of art! You can even tell your nosy neighbor that you bought them from a high-end store, and we guarantee she’ll believe you in a heartbeat. Here is how you can feel like a million-dollar designer:
Turn Graters Into Lamps
Graters, as the name suggests, are usually used to grate food in fine pieces but you can also use them for home decoration. Just collect some graters, attach them on a piece of wood and fix a light bulb in each one. Now, hang them anywhere in your house and pat yourself on the back for your creativity!
Egg-Beater Candle-Stand
For this, you need a few egg-beaters, fish wire and floating candles. All you need to do is to hang the beaters with a fish wire from the ceiling, and then insert the floating candles inside. Voila! You have the best home-made candle-stands in town.
Fork Jewelry
Forks can be turned into jewelry by moving their prongs in different directions. You can shape them however you want to and use them as pendants, earrings, rings, etc.
Glass Candle-Stand
This decoration could be used for any event, as a center piece on the dining table or anywhere in your house for that matter! Simply pour water in a glass, and add some twigs/flowers with some glitter. Finally, top it off with a floating candle.
Tea Cup Bird Feeder
This is a little tricky as you will have to make holes in the saucers to hang the tea cups! Make sure you glue the cup and saucer well together as birds can sometimes get a little naughty! If you are successful in doing that, you will have earned our respect. But if that is not possible for you to do, simply hang the cups by tying a rope or thread from its handle to a tree branch. The cup will tilt a little but it will definitely fulfill its purpose.
