The spring season not only introduces us to new floral ideas for clothing, but it also enhances our aesthetic sense regarding the perfect choice of color combinations. Keeping all these aspects in mind, every season has some specific colors which just need to be worn. Similarly, spring has its own value of combination of different colors.
Pantone has recently released the top colors which we’ll be seeing this spring. These colors are compiled by a group of color experts around the globe. The vice president of pantone explained:
“Color is truly contextual, and what is truly happening in the world is reflected by these hues.”
What’s special about these hues is that they are brand new, together a part of 210 new colors. The colors launched are also not restricted to any particular gender.
Without further delay, let’s get down seeing these new hues.
BUTTERCUP – Lately, Charlize Therone was seen wearing this newly launched color by Dior at the New York Spring Fashion Week.
FIESTA – Recently, Rosamund Pike was seen wearing this color of the year Fiesta, applied by Givenchy on a floral gown at the red carpet of the Oscars.
GREEN FLASH – Solange Knowles flaunting the Green Flash as the color of the year in a silk gown by Rosie-Assoulin.
ICED-COFFEE – We have been in love with the way the colors appeared during the Fashion Weeks around the world, from New York to Lahore, and from Milan to Paris. The pieces presented were superb, but it was the way the palettes worked together that really made us feel like experimenting by mixing and matching. The way they carried the Iced-Coffee on the ramp needs to be applauded.
LILAC GREY – Grey is a classic color for the spring season. KARIGAM, Rebecca Vallance and Yoana Baraschi all seemed to hold special love for the slightly warmer neutral hue. The grey weather could use a dose of lilac it seems, which is perfectly paired with the Feisty Fiesta, the Green Flash and the Iced Coffee for an added dose of neutral. We see it at Paul & Joe, Acne Studios and Saint Lauren, Altuzarra and Giambattista Valli. Naomi Watts shows that she can carry Lilac Grey better than anyone else at the Cannes.
LIMPET SHELL – Aqua is always loved in the summers since it gives the feeling of coolness. This is a clear color, defined and fresh, bringing in tranquility while still keeping the most of its energy going. We find Vivetta, Blumarine and a few others who give the whole shell-like appeal all the more endearing.
PEACH ECHO – Orange hue is quite warm and friendly, and it is a lovely color which is perfect for all seasons. We see the color appearing in muted fashion on Sonia Rykiel, while some gorgeous prints appear on Giambattista Valli and the ruffled long-sleeved mini-dress at Roberto Cavalli.
