Kashmir is also known as ‘Heaven on the Earth’ because of the numerous gifts nature has bestowed on it. Luckily, Pakistan has been blessed with four different weathers and in every weather Kashmir has a different color to display. While travelling from Lahore it takes almost 12 hours to reach Rawalakot, which is a small town of Kashmir. Toli Pir is a hilltop area situated in Tehsil Rawalakot in the Poonch District of Azad Kashmir. Its approximate elevation is about 8800 feet above sea level. It is about 30 kilometres or 45 minutes away from the city of Rawalakot. While travelling to Kashmir, the beauty of nature is evident throughout the journey. Foamy water streams, rocky waterfalls and towering mountains are on display all along the way.
A 15 minute walk from to the edge of Toli Pir gives you a feeling of peace and the beauty of your surroundings envelops you with its charms. Toli Pir is the highest mountainous location in the north-eastern part of Kashmir, and it is the spot of origin of three diverse mountain ridges. The tourist rest house on the way to Toli Pir is also located on a picturesque site. The best time to visit Toli Pir is during the summer as the climate is usually very pleasant. From October through to March though, it is extremely cold and the roads can be quite treacherous.
