Taking inspirations? Not a good excuse for imitating others

Kluchit.com officially declares that 2015 witnessed a serious downfall in terms of trends here in Pakistan. Sticking to whatever became a FAD was all what most of our designers did this past year. The ones who tried to display some creativity got frustrated due to ‘replicas’ and ‘inspirations’.

Sadly, ever since the internet has started controlling our lives, it has become extremely hard for designers to take inspirations since now everyone has access to whatever only they had access to previously!

2015 has almost come to an end. And all we can think of about fashion this year is Tabassum Mughal’s lawn prints, Shehla Chatoor’s black leather dress, Nida Khurram’s collection, Elan’s prints and a few other things. And this honestly has become a big humiliation for us within the country and also outside the country. Over the course of the previous years, our designers worked very hard and made it to the best fashion weeks world wide. We personally think that now, they should not damage the reputation we worked so hard to build for ourselves. There is absolutely no thin line between copying and taking inspirations.

As far as sticking to past and present trends is concerned, it is probably the saddest thing in the history of Pakistani fashion. We personally feel it is the duty of our designers to improve our design aesthetics by being creative and presenting new trends as and when required.

Team Kluchit has always supported fashion here in Pakistan. And we are not going to stop anytime soon. We are strictly against humiliating our designers for the ‘INSPIRATIONS’ they took. But their actions ruined our image in the global fashion scene and honestly, we don’t see it stopping. Hence, we want to address each and every designer who copies others and calls it ‘taking an inspiration’. The fashion industry of Pakistan is one of the strongest and the most popular industries of our country. It has built a good name for itself so lets not ruin it. Help Kluchit.com support fashion.
