Doritos, according to scientists are made to be addictive, so that one never feels like they have had enough of them. The sole recipe of the chips powerfully balances every ingredient in such a way that every flavor is singled out. Steven Witherly, a food scientist, says that the chips also have a memory stimulating ingredient, like garlic, which develops a long-lasting smell. Apart from some of the addictive secret ingredients, the crunch of Doritos is heaven in itself. That beautiful crackling crunch alone is enough to make you go crazy for bite after bite.
Coming towards something healthier; a salad is one delicious wholesome food which gives peace to your eyes as well as your inner senses. Green leafy vegetables and onions, with bright red tomatoes, black olives, beans, chicken strips and juicy vinaigrette are enough to give a mouth-watering experience even from a ten feet distance. Because trust me, adding Doritos will ruin your diet if you are following one. More than half of the calories in the chips are due to fat, which according to the food scientists, maximizes pleasure and tricks the brain to think that the calories have disappeared. BUT, if you are not diet conscious at all, or if you fall under the category of ‘body not effected by large amounts of food at all,’ then this combination is a necessary addition to your daily life.
After the mouth-watering talk of Doritos and Salad combination, here is a very easy recipe which you can make in 15 minutes. Get ready to make it an all-time favorite!
Ingredients:
- Chicken (grounded): 1 lb. (optional)
- Black Pepper: to taste (if adding chicken)
- Salt: to taste (if adding chicken)
- Doritos (Nacho Cheese): ½ lb.
- Lettuce (shredded): 1 head
- Tomato (diced): 2 large
- Onion (chopped): ½
- Green Pepper (diced): 1
- Black beans: 1 cup
- Black Olives (sliced): ½ cup
- Jalapenos (chopped): 1/2 cup
- Chili powder: to taste
- Garlic powder: to taste
- Lemon juice: to taste
Directions:
- Cut the chicken in stripes, sauté it in a pan and add black pepper and salt seasoning.
- After the chicken is cooked, put it aside to cool down.
- Take a large bowl and drop all the vegetables and chicken in it. Season the bowl with chili powder and garlic powder and squeeze a lemon on top.
- Add a generous toping of Doritos (Nacho Cheese). (You can also add shredded Cheddar cheese on top and round it for one minute in the microwave!)
- Ready to serve, eat and have fun!
