Zoe Kravitz who is the daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, is set to take on the role of Catwoman in the new Bataman movie by 2021.
Catwoman is more of a vigilante character who from often shows romantic interest in Batman. The character has had some interesting actresses portray the flexible and mysterious masked feline. It has mostly been a role enjoyed for its comedy and playfulness on the big screen.
Catwoman has been comically silly, terribly dark, rather bland and in her own movie pretty much lackluster.
But with the rise of public interest and studio investment in the superhero genre, and the obvious box office success of recent releases like ‘Joker’, there is always hope that this Catwoman captures the essence of the character in a new and mature way.
Zoe Kravitz already stares in series like ‘Big Little Lies‘ and ‘High Infidelity‘ and has had roles in several movies, but this might be her break out role.
And another cool thing is that she will be opposite Robert Pattinson as Batman.
Former Catwoman actress Michelle Pfeiffer, has also shown her support and we are also excited for the film over.
The film is said to hit theaters in 2021.
