The Interview

How are you today?

Very happy, more relaxed than normal.

How would you describe your journey as a photographer?

Bumpy ride, full of surprises, full of gratitude and several rock bottom trips.

Muaz we see lots of people with expensive cameras and who claim to be photographers, but what do you think actually makes an artist?

One can not buy knowledge and experience. The more time you invest in practicing, the more you are going to get polished. The more you sit back at a screen and invest time in finding tutorials and practicing that skill in real life. The more you are going to get better at it. It’s all about how much you invest in it (smartly). About having expensive cameras; having rich parents is always a plus point.

You’ve often spoken about having to deal with rejection while pursuing your dream. What have you learned from that?

Consistency is the reason why I’m here. Be stubborn if you’re sure that this is what you want, this is what you’re born to do. STICK to it.

You regularly having workshops to teach photography and Photoshop, do you enjoy the labor?

It is a very natural process for me. That is what I actually do. If I’m getting paid for people seeing me do what I love (and explain it to them), then why not. Some extra money never hurts the bank account.

What kind of projects would you like to do in the future?

What I love doing now, more beauty shot, more family portraits.

You’ve recently directed a music video, tell about that experience?

It was very interesting. I got to explore more dimensions of myself. Getting out of my comfort zone, doing something new is always a good and challenging experience for me. I hope you too will love it.
Thank you for being here with us today, what would you like to say to our readers?

Thank you for having me. To everyone who is pursuing their dreams, if you have your vision and you see yourself achieving it, go for it. Don’t let your dreams be dreams. Make them come true!
