Travel on budget : How we stayed in a hotel worth 120 thousand rupees per night for 8 thousand Pakistani rupees only in Turkey

We all want to travel the world but alas, most of our plans are put on hold because of money. Even if we do get the chance to do so, we don’t end up getting the best resorts or hotels and at end up in tiny claustrophobic dirty rooms with bad room service. Not always, but it happens when you’re tight on budget.

It’s always difficult for the working class to go abroad for vacations and being the wife of an Air Force Officer, who often end up spending their mediocre salary halfway through the month is especially challenging. Still, we managed to have the most luxurious honeymoon we couldn’t have imagined of ever, with whatever savings we had.

Kudos to the planning of my husband, we stayed in hotels worth 120,000 pakistani rupees for EIGHT THOUSAND RUPEES.

How you ask? It’s very simple. We were very vigilant about all the deals popping up on www.booking.com

The key however, is to plan ahead. We knew we wanted to go in March, hence we started looking for flights and hotels from September onwards.

This is what the hotels usually cost:

The hotels I’ll be talking about today are from our visit to Antalya. My favorite out of the four cities we had the chance to explore.

Both the hotels were located on the Konyaalti Beach, but what amazes me is that both had such a different vibe to it. The area around Konyaalti beach itself is so happening and full of life, one doesn’t get tired of exploring it at all.

Talking about Sea Life Family Hotel and Resort, as the name suggests, it had such a friendly family like feel to it. From the moment we entered, till we checked out, for us it was the most hospitable hotel we stayed in. The facilities they offered were indoor and outdoor swimming pools, spa, fitness centre, airport shuttle, bar, beachfront, private beach area, disco and a very luxurious breakfast buffet. All the rooms had a beach view and were warm but modern in looks.

We paid 8000 rupees per night here.

Hotel Su on the other hand was completely different experience altogether. The most different thing about it was that it is all white. Literally all white. The amount of maintenance it must take them to keep it clean boggles my mind. From the exterior to the grand hotel lobby to everything in the rooms – all white. You’ll occasionally see another color in the form of lights but that’s about it. They’ve complimented the white interior with a dash of red here and there.Overall, the whole hotel has a very sensual feel to it with huge mirrors in the room and a bed on the balcony as well, overlooking the aqua park and Konyaalti beach. They too had the same facilities as Sea Life Hotel and Resort

Hotel Su normally costs around 70 to 80 thousand Pakistani rupees but we got in a deal from Booking.com for 7000 pkr only.

Two additional plus points about Hotel Su are that:

  1. It overlooks Aqua Land
  2.  You won’t have to pay any entry fee for Aqua Land if you stay in Hotel Su

My suggestion to you is to be vigilant about deals going on such travel websites and to plan ahead especially if you’re on a budget.

Stay tuned to www.kluchit.com to find out more about how i had the most luxurious vacation on a Pakistani minimal budget.
