Remember Fakhr-e-Alam? He has disappeared from the screens but has certainly not disappeared from his life goal. To fly around the world himself, solo. He made this announcement three years ago after having 40 hours of flying experience.
However, he remained persistent and is going to do what he promised to do. He tweeted:
Dear all I am happy to report to you all today that after 3 years of a lot of hard work & persistence #MissionParwaaz my attempt to circumnavigate the globe is finally happening. If I succeed I will become the 1st Pakistani in the history of the world to do so. pic.twitter.com/En2NWUX0FH

In an interview with Dawn Images, Fakhr-e-Alam stated that three years ago, after he got his private license in USA, he went on to get his instrument rating and twin engine rating from USA as well.
He spoken about circumnavigating the globe and to hopefully become the first Pakistani to do so. He faced a lot of challenges as he had little flight experience.
“I still have a long way to go and that was a real challenge because no one wants to rent out a plane to you and insurance companies see the risks. Also, because this is a global flight, I’ll be flying through international airspace and through various air regulations, the complications were a lot to work out. There was a lot of work to be done. I needed to work on getting visas, arrival and landing permits and what not,” he stated.
“After three years of hearing “No” and working out every detail, I’m happy to say this is finally happening.” Fakhr-e-Alam will be leaving from Karachi on October 3rd for Florida to get his certification renewed and will be off to circumnavigate the globe on October 6th.
He further gave an ode to the Pakistani flag by saying that, “The risk is there but the reward and the glory to our flag are far greater and I’m committed to it. I’m grateful to everyone who helped me out, whether they were from USA, UAE or Pakistan, making this happen made me realize what it would be like if the planet was one. Maybe the next step will be intergalactic travel, there are so many possibilities.”
We wish him good luck!
