Directed by Nadeem baig, the flick hit the cinema on Eid Ul Azha. Jawani Phir Nahi Ani was a biggest hit in 2015 and now its sequel promises to be a riot.
The story revolves around three friends Sheikh (Vasay Chaudhry), Sherry (Humayun Saeed), Parvez (Ahmed Ali Butt) along with a new entry Rahat (Fahad Mustafa). Sheikh and Parvez are still seen glued to their wives Gul (Sarwat Gilani) and Lubna (Uzma Khan) whereas Sherry will be seen mingling with a new one (Kubra Khan) 😛 Everything apart, Humayun and Kubra’s chemistry is one thing that will keep the audience intact (Trust me with this :P) Both of them balance each other with such beauty and genuineness <3
For me, the movie is not up to the mark as compared to Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 1. It takes us to the journey of money conflicts, love and Indo-Pak relations. It is all about Humayun Saeed struggling to tie the knot with Kubra Khan and Fahad Mustafa wanting to get out of the financial troubles by marrying Balani’s (Sohail Ahmad) daughter Zoe (Mawra Hocane). The roles played by Ahmad Ali Butt and Sohail Ahmad were a treat to watch and they shined out with memorable performance. We personally did not like Mawra Hocane’s acting as well as her dance on ‘Aya Lariye’.
Moving on to the music, ‘Lahore Tere Te Marda Ni’ takes the lead <3 It is the upbeat summer shaadi song that is going to hit the dance floors very soon. Behka re is one good song that you will be crushing on.
One drawback of the movie is its length. It is way too extensive that can turn off the audience. Moreover, the Indo-Pak politics was worthless. Another major snag is the ‘Takla Bhai’ aka Don that owed Fahad Mustafa a lot of money. His character was actually pointless who at the end of the movie, just ignored the amount that was due. I mean why? How can you let it go so easily? Why were you even in the movie?
Usually the sequels are more promising and exciting but JPNA failed to impress us. In our opinion, go watch Parwaz hai Junoon or Load Wedding.
