Meet Shafaq Rabab, an educationist with a dream and a unique initiative:
One word that can define me is “Resilience”. And one ability that I like the most in life is “Pivoting”. These two words describe the best of my achievements and rest of my life.
My aim is to use game-based instructional designing skills as a catalyst in developing a digital tablet-based learning ecosystem for providing awareness about basic life skills including health and hygiene, literacy and numeracy, social skills and cultural awareness for Pakistani young and adult people, as the access to the education is a right for every person and this initiative will help to improve the life experiences of Pakistani citizens living under hard conditions.
My most substantial accomplishment is a project titled “Interactive Learning 4 All” focusing for providing life skills education to primary schools students by using solar-powered tablets. Moreover, I have been the part of many projects focusing widely distributed technology-based learning system that is being used by millions of students and setting up multiple successful start-ups for special needs students, raising fund for them and scaling them up to profitability and exit level.
My attitude of taking the “path less travelled” is evident from my core adventurist and hobbyist nature. I am a wilderness trekker, hiker, and aviator who takes pride in standing in the face of fear. I am passionate about traveling, understanding and experiencing different cultures of the world. All these elements have given me a very broad outlook, open-mindedness, adventurous attitude with varying degrees of knowledge on a range of topics.
