Fawad Khan and Mehwish Hayat represented Pakistan at the relaunch of Filmfare Middle East Magazine in Dubai. Not only did they represent Pakistan but also bagged award from the celebrity magazine.
Fawad Khan, who received the award for being a ‘Cinematic Icon’, was clad in an Omer Farooq Gown whereas Mehwish Hayat in Amato Couture. Hayat received the ‘Pakistani Icon’ award for her work in the industry, especially Punjab Nahi Jaungi.
She stated in her speech, “It’s an honour to have been invited here. The revival of Pakistani cinema is very much in its infancy, but I’m very proud to have achieved what we have in such a short period of time. I’m sure that one day we’ll be able to hold our own and compete with the best in the world.”
Model Hasnain Lehri and actor Javed Sheikh were also present at the event.
