Smith College, a private independent women’s liberal arts college, renowned for its liberal arts programmes is awarding an honorary degree to Oscar winner, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy for projects and philanthropy.
The institution announced on Twitter that Chinoy will be among many iconic women who will be the recipient of the coveted honorary degree.
Other women include black feminist theorist Kimberlé Crenshaw and US Poet Laureate, Rita Dove among others.
