Winter Travelling Hacks

So it’s that time of year again when you have a whole list of Christmas and holiday presents to pack and loads of travel locations to visit. It doesn’t matter whether you’re dropping in at your aunt’s or getting together with a bunch of friends for the winters; when you’re travelling in this season, there are some hacks you should know to get around more easily.

Use glasses’ cases to store your chargers

Instead of rummaging through your baggage as your cellphone attempts to stay alive, you can easily place the charger in an old glasses’ case. You can also use Tic Tac containers for bobby pins or prescription pill bottles for cotton balls.

Carry a hoodie on you at all times

Always the popular item, a hoodie has to be one of the most innovative clothing ideas on the globe. You should pack one with you, or tie it around the waist for quick access. Even if you’re travelling somewhere warm, keep a hoodie on you.

Invest in a dryer sheet

If you’re sensitive to pungent luggage smells, you might want to try a dryer sheet. Dryer sheets are small sheets of material with fabric softener. Place a few at the bottom of your case before packing your things in there.

Wear compression socks for longer flights

These socks will help increase blood circulation and can prevent clotting in your ankles and thighs. Plus, you’ll get fewer tingly feelings up and down your legs.

Pack a small first aid kit

Health matters, and it is always better to be safe than sorry. Make sure you include absolute vitals like bandages, an antiseptic like Dettol, antibacterial creams, cotton swabs, and stomach antacids.

Use your shoes for tiny items

They aren’t just meant to be worn on the feet: apparently, shoes make great storage spaces as well for small items that are usually misplaced. From hairbrushes to toiletries; just shove them in the shoes! Save up on space and stop wasting time looking all over the place for them.

Place a piece of plastic wrap on the tops of bottles/water containers to prevent leakages

There is nothing worse than opening your baggage to discover that the water from your bottle has leaked out onto your luggage. Simply open the lids, put a piece of plastic wrap on the top, and replace the cap.

Therefore, there is no reason to fret about how to pack best for your winter vacations. Just use any of these tips and you’re good to go.
