Pakistan’s first and only production and entertainment conference took place on the 3rd and 4th of December, 2016. This interactive event took place at a luxury hotel in the heart of Karachi. The initiative was taken to develop and find solutions to build a much better media industry. The event focused on the emphasis around production, entertainment and media – film, TV, theatre, radio, print and digital media. It was the first conference towards such an initiative containing some great people from the industry to have sessions at the conference. It was a two-day event divided into multiple sessions with several topics covered in every session.
Such sessions help the initiators of the industry to focus on a direction and also meet like-minded professionals to lead them towards future improvement. A lot of discussion over the problems being faced were discussed to and solutions were thought about. As a first, it was exhilarating to be part of listening to solutions and being a part to suggest. It’s a great start and we hope such events keep on happening since there is a lot of scope and such sessions educate the participants a lot.
