Way before Henna reservations and getting a perfect goat with bhai, we were excited about the three Pakistani movies that we were being given as an Eidi to us ; Janaan, Actor in Law and Zindagi Haseen Hai.
The latter two have very well known actors from the Pakistani industry in it whilst the first one has a relatively new lead. Kluchit attended the premiere of Janaan, interviewed Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai’s cast and went to watch Actor in Law. We had different views regarding the films but the box office spoke for itself. It was noted that Actor in Law lead the race with Janaan just behind it and Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai after the two. All three performed amazingly well and even though people’s reviews were somewhat mixed on what movie to watch and even more mixed were the reviews after watching the movies- the box office however had one thing to say: Actor in Law scored a whopping 1.65 crore nearly touching ‘Jawani Phir Nahin Ani’s’ record, Janaan followed with a 1.04 where as Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai landed on 0.75 crore. It was also noted that Janaan had quite a higher score than Actor in Law, overseas! Looks like both the movies were strong in the battlefield. Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai was just released in Pakistan. Whatever movie was your favourite, we all need to agree on the fact that this Eid brought about a massive change in the Pakistani media industry’s scope.
