Are Fondant Cakes Even Worth It?

The trend for fondant cakes has deeply been seeped into our celebrations. Apparently, no birthday is complete without an extravagantly decorated cake with lavish fondant decor which leaves guests in awe. These cakes are definitely the show-stoppers of the party.

However, it is when the cake has been cut and it’s slices are passed around that we often hear remarks like “the fondant tastes of butter” or “the cake is delicious but the fondant tastes HORRIBLE”. Eventually, when you hear such whispers at your own party, you begin to question your decision to spend thousands of rupees on this cake.

There’s no denying that these cakes are masterpieces. But what is the point of spending so much money on something that will leave a bad taste on your taste buds? The solution to this question lies within making a very good choice. You will be amazed at the things that can be done with buttercream, a piping bag, and a nozzle set. Outstanding cakes have been created without the chemical taste of fondant and your guests have the perfect sweet ending to their meal.

We need to bring back the trend of a simple Victoria Sponge dusted with icing sugar and relive the thrill of a rich and gooey chocolate cake. One that makes you forget your calorie count and has you divulging in a huge slice, guilt free!!
