We all know that fruits are extremely beneficial for our skin, in more than one way. Fresh fruit masks are best for the glow of our skin especially in summer’s hot days. Mostly, ladies face a lot of skin problems in the summer season due to the intense heat rays and the best way to get rid of them is to use fruit masks.
1. Watermelon Face Mask
Watermelon is very beneficial for human beings especially for their skin, as it contains 83% of water content and has many multi-vitamins like A, C & B6. It keeps our skin away from acne, sun-tan and dryness.
Procedure:
Take 2 tsp of watermelon and add 1 tsp of yogurt in it. Mix it well and start applying it on your face. The mixture will work as a natural remedy and make your skin glow.
2. Skin Lightening Banana Face Mask
This skin-brightening banana face mask has three powerful ingredients to hydrate, brighten and lighten up your skin. Honey has skin-lightening properties. It kills bacteria and hence prevents acne and pimples. It also moisturizes the skin without making it oily. Lemons on the other hand are loaded with citric acid, which gently lightens dark skin and evens out discoloration. They also lighten the dark spots and acne blemishes.
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Directions:
- Place the ripe banana in a small mixing bowl and mash it with a fork until you have a lump-free paste. Then mix in the honey and the lemon juice and combine all the ingredients thoroughly.
- Wash your face with a gentle soap and pat it dry with a soft towel. Using clean fingers, rub the mask into your face. Apply the mask in a slightly thick layer and keep it on for 10 to 15 minutes so that it can soak in.
- When the time is up, wash your face with warm water and do not use soap. And voilà! Be prepared to be amazed with your glowing, radiant skin.
Mango Face Pack
Apart from being so tasty, this fruit is full of vitamins, minerals and nutrients. Mangoes help in cleansing the skin and unclogging the pores. They also help make your skin look flawless and beautiful.
Procedure:
Remove all the pulp from the mango and mash it until it gets smoother. Then apply it on your face and leave it there for around 20 minutes so that it dries up. Once the pack dries, wash it off and massage it in a circular motion. Your skin will be noticeably soft after it.
Tomato Facial Mask
Tomatoes are very high in vitamins A, B, and C. They are also enriched with magnesium, potassium and calcium. They help in removing dark spots and also slow down the aging process.
Procedure:
Combine the paste of ½ tomatoes and one lemon and apply it on your clean neck and face for around 15 minutes. Then, rinse it off with icy cold water. This mask will not only work wonders for acne spots, but it will also tone up your skin as well.
Plum Facial Mask
Juicy plum fruit is packed with numerous nutrients that stimulate health and beauty. It contains vitamin A, vitamin B complex, vitamin C, vitamin K, beta carotene, iron, potassium, calcium, magnesium, etc.
It is rich in antioxidants and fights free radicals, thereby working as an anti-aging skin-care agent.
Ingredients:
- Yogurt – 1
- Plum – Peeled
- 2 Teaspoons of Honey
- Dash of Almond Oil
Method:
- Use the yogurt as your base. Yogurt is a calming ingredient for all skin types as it has pro-biotics which are anti-bacterial, and it contains lactic acid which helps with cell turnover.
- Add the plum. The plum will help hydrate your skin and is full of Vitamins A and C.
- Add the honey. Honey is also loaded with vitamins and will attract moisture to your skin.
- Lastly add the dash of almond oil. The oil will work as an anti-inflammatory as well as help soften your skin.
- Apply on the skin and leave for 15 minutes. Wash off with tepid water.
