Glow In The Dark Ice Cream!!

What if i told you that you could eat ice cream in the dark without making a complete mess? Yes, there is a solution for that and that is, behold – Glow in the Dark Ice Cream.

The main element in this ice cream is the jellyfish protein, which makes each lick brighter and even more luminous. What happens is that the PH level of the tongue rises to a higher level once the jellyfish protein reacts to the warm temperature of the tongue; causing it to glow.

Founded by a British entrepreneur, Charlie Francis, this ice cream is being sold for 140 British pounds (225$ and 23,625PKR). But the high price has not been a problem for Lick Me I’m Delicious, as people from all over the world come for at least one tasting.

A lot of others followed the same trend, but with different techniques. For example, there is a pop-up store in Australia called 196 which is selling a huge variety of glow in the dark ice creams which they call Neon Nitro. The best part is that it even glows in pitch black and it comes in 3 flavors, Mango Passion Fruit, Pine-Lime and Raspberry. Steve Felice, the founder of Neon Nitro got the inspiration from Raves, where people are always binging on ice cream and smearing it on each other for fun.

Even Walls introduced a Glow in the Dark Cornetto as a cinema snack. For that, UV light has to be shone into the cinema to illuminate the ice cream without spoiling the view of the screen. This Cornetto has been infused with riboflavin (vitamin B2) which luminesces under certain wavelengths of light.

So, would you give glow in the dark ice cream a try??
