Vinegar – what would we do without it? Its presence is absolutely essential in every household, and our ladies can’t imagine life without it. Be it adding a kick to that stock or cleaning around, vinegar is always the first thing that comes to our mind. This kitchen essential sure is a superstar there but there are times where we ladies need to cool it down and give this all-rounder a rest. Like they say, nobody’s perfect! And the same is the case with vinegar. So ladies and gentlemen, here is all you need to know about what to not do with vinegar:
- An egg stain or spill
We have all been a victim of broken eggs so don’t reach out for vinegar to wipe that off, as vinegar is acidic and it can cause the stain to coagulate.
2. Granite and Marble counter tops
Cleaning those dirty kitchen counter tops with vinegar would be a very expensive mistake. Avoid that as it can permanently damage your otherwise shiny kitchen top.
3. Car
Keep vinegar well away from your cars as its acidity can dull their shiny exteriors.
4. Smartphones and Tablets
Our smartphones are coated with a special coating which stops them from getting smudges and fingerprint stains. Using vinegar will strip away this protective layer and can also potentially damage the screen.
5. Hardwood Floors
There are 2 schools of thought regarding this. Some say vinegar makes their hardwood floors shine while others disagree. Our advice would be to dilute it with water and test it on an unobtrusive spot before tackling the entire room.
