The basic drill when it comes to losing weight: take in fewer calories, burn more calories. If you want to drop a few pounds fast, these expert tips will make it easy for you to lose weight quickly.
Regular exercise
The best option is to go to the gym 3-4 times a week. Do a warm up, lift weights, then stretch. By lifting weights, you will be able to burn a few calories and prevent your metabolism from slowing down, which is a common side effect of losing weight. Some easier cardio workouts like running, jogging and swimming will suffice otherwise.
Cut back on sugars and starches
The most important part of losing weight is to cut back on sugars and starches. These are the foods that stimulate secretion of insulin the most. When insulin goes down, fat has an easier time getting out of the fat stores and the body starts burning fats instead of carbs.
Another benefit of lowering insulin is that your kidneys shed excess sodium and water out of your body, which reduces bloat and unnecessary water weight.
Cut down white grain products
Cutting out all white grain products — such as white rice, spaghetti, sandwich rolls — will instantly slim you down because the simple carbs in these foods cause bloating, especially around your belly. To go a step further, instead of replacing them with healthier yet still bloat-triggering whole-grain bread products, substitute vegetables for the week.
Get sound sleep
Sleep deprivation makes you fat. Women who than four hours of sleep per night have a slower metabolism than those who d get lessoze for eight hours.
Go for an evening walk
Evening activity may be particularly beneficial because many people’s metabolism slows down towards the end of the day. Thirty minutes of aerobic activity before dinner increases your metabolic rate and may keep it elevated for another two or three hours, even after you’ve stopped moving.
Drink green tea
Metabolism-enhancing antioxidants known as catechins are found in green tea. So you can drink green tea as much as you like as it has no side effects and helps in fat reduction.
Avoid calories in a glass
Monitor your intake of juice, soda, coffee drinks. If you consume one of each of those beverages during the day, you’ll have taken in at least 800 extra calories by nighttime and you’ll still be hungry.
Drink reasonable amounts of water
Water has zero calories and carbs and little to no sodium, making it the perfect slim-down drink. And strangely, it actually helps flush out excess water weight as well as jump-starts your metabolism. In order to add flavor to it you can use lemon wedges or mint leaves.
