Pakistan LO’real Paris Bridal Week was celebrated and showcased for the fifth consecutive year. The event brought together some of the biggest names in the fashion industry of Pakistan. The event was hosted by Natasha Hussain. The Kluchit clan was there to capture all the happenings for its readers.
LO’real launched their Makeup Genius app last night. Makeup Genius will enable consumers to test makeup products using their mobile phone or tablet as a virtual mirror. Consumers can test makeup products, a new makeup look, or simply create their own look to save and share. The app will allow consumers to instantly experience the most premium and innovative Before & After service. Through this innovation, LO’real Makeup Designer Paris aims to offer women an unprecedented beauty “e-routine”. Day one showcased Karma Red, Ali Xeeshan Theatre Studio, Sania Maskatiya, Bank Alfalah Rising Talent Show and Elan.
Karma Red: Karma Red named their collection “Shehzadi Rang Aur Samarkand Ki Rani”, which was showcased last night and got a really good response. Karma Red has been offering the perfect style of bridal wear, which is reflective of traditional flavors. The colors were shaded up in bold and dark blends which gave the clothes a very colorful look. The embellishments were done with the heavy working of the embroidery, and the dabka and gota gave the whole collection a complete sense of style. Chiffon, jaamawar and tissue cloth were used for the sewing of all the outfits. All in all, the collection was absolutely beautiful.
Ali Xeeshan Theathre Studio: Ali Xeeshan Theater Studio came up with a fantastic collection called ‘Toofaan’. It reflected an artistic touch of the Mughal era and its fashion concepts. A lot of creative and unique lehenga designs were showcased, which were paired up with long shirts. Ali Xeeshan Theater Studio gave all their dresses an extraordinary look by embellishing them with attractive embroidery and using lots of stones and gotas. Lastly, a lot of vibrant colors were also on display. We are sure you will fall in love with the entire collection.
Sania Maskatiya: Sania Maskatiya showcased her latest collection called “Afsaneh”, which drew inspiration from the grandeur of times bygone and celebrated the sub continents’ rich cultural heritage by combining centuries old embroidery techniques with luxurious fabrics. All the dresses gave a very modern but elegant look. The collection featured long and medium shirts paired with lehengas and frocks. Moreover, the collection consisted of intricate thread-work techniques of zardozi and aari, along with shimmering textures of sequins and beadwork that had been employed to evoke the romance of the East.
Bank Alfalah Rising Talent Show: The organizers of the event gave the chance to several new designers to showcase their talent in the “Bank Alfalah Rising Talent Show” category. Maheen Taseer came up with “Valiant”, which was dedicated to her missing husband Shahbaz Taseer. Zarmisha Dar’s collection “Gullistan”, Faiza Saqlain’s collection “The Regal Dawn” (inspired by Queen Elizabeth), and “Jeem” by Hamza Bukhari (inspired by the journey of the Babushka Doll who visits Pakistan) made up the remaining contenders. All of these designers displayed very eye-catching dresses and gave the audience a taste of traditional looks. Each designer presented unique designs and displayed a lot of creative flair. Team Kluchit absolutely loved “Jeem” by Hamza Bukhari.
Republic by Omar Farooq: For the first time ever, Republic showcased a women’s wear collection. “Rosa” was inspired by the works of designer Madeleine Vionnet, with its embroideries reflecting Greek ornaments and flowers with hints of art deco. We saw sherwanis, coats and jackets in the menswear section while lehengas with crop tops and thigh length shirts, with fully embellished bead work, dabka and stones made up the women’s wear section. Different shades of brown, grey and white were to be seen everywhere. It was indeed a beautiful collection.
Elan: Khadijah Shah’s Elan closed the show last night and we think she totally nailed it! Her collection was called “The Jasmine Court” and was inspired by Eighteenth Century India and Indian Nobility. The dresses were covered with creative cuts and hues. It mostly featured long shirts with lehengas. We saw some beautiful shades of white, grey and silver embellished with stone work and dabka. The whole collection reflected the brand’s creativity.
