So when you are heading for a rafting trip, here are the things which you’ll need for it:
- Bring A Towel
One of the most essential things for you to bring is a dry towel. It might be best if you bring a towel with you to dry off after your rafting trip.
- Bring Extra dry clothes and shoes
When you go on a rafting trip, you will get wet. Bringing an extra pair of clothes and shoes with you can save you from a wet ride in the car, which may not be as enjoyable.
- Sunscreen and Sunglasses
Wearing good sunglasses is key to avoiding sun-damaged eyes. Besides, the single most important thing to wear on your rafting trip is Sunscreen. There’s nothing worse than having a great day on the river, then suffering through the next day with a sunburn. Make sure to get one that’s at least SPF 30. When you’re applying it, don’t forget your ears and neck.

- Helmet
Water rafting safety helmets are designed to provide complete security in case of a turn over and prevent against head injuries. Don’t forget to wear your helmet during the adventure.
- Rescue throw bags
Whether it is a raft, a kayak or a canoe, rescue bags or rescue throw bags are an important part of river rafting or kayaking equipment. A rescue bag, filled with rope inside, is thrown to the swimmer in an emergency. The end of the rope is attached to the inside of the bag. The loose end of the rope remains in the hand of the rescuer whereas the bag is thrown to the swimmer to help the latter reach the raft. These bags are very compact and do not take up much space in the rafting boat.
- First-Aid Kit
A first aid kit should be with you at all times during your rafting trip. This is one of the most important pieces of equipment you can have.
