London – Home to the Queen

Situated on the River Thames in the South-East of England, London is a vibrant, multicultural and cosmopolitan city. London is alive with a wealth of arts, entertainment, cuisine, shopping, adventure and a lot more. Whether you are traveling with friends, family, or retreating to romance, you are surely going to have a unique experience in the city of London.

London remains to be an international capital of culture, music, education, fashion, politics, finance and trade. Throughout the world, London is famous for its cultural heritage. London’s museums and galleries attract millions of international visitors. Places like The British Museum, The Palace of Westminster, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Victoria and Albert Museum, Big Ben, The Tower of London and The Gherkin have around five million visitors each year. London’s West End theatres have an enthusiastic global audience. And the city’s famous live music venues attract audiences, especially young people across the world.

In London, you can find charming restaurants, world-class entertainment and first-class hotels. It may be small in size, but it’s big on hospitality, attractions, thrill and social activities. London’s fantastic street food and pop-up restaurants spreading up all over the city attract a lot of tourists. One of the capital’s favorite attractions, the London Eye  take passengers on a 30 minute voyage taking in scenery that includes the Palace of Westminster, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and even Windsor Castle in the distance. Each London Eye’s capsule has space for 25 people. Watching different parts of the city come into view as the wheel rotates is a lot of fun. A trip out to the Royal Botanical Kew Gardens is something one should not miss. Walking around the 121 hectares of exotic oases in the quiet and rural West London provides a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of the inner city.

As the night falls, London becomes more vibrant than ever and looks even more fascinating. The nightlife of London is vast and it has something for everyone. From the high-end nightclubs of Chelsea and Mayfair to cool clubs like Fabric and the warehouse raves of Dalston. On every weekend night, The City’s Comedy Store showcases some of the most hilarious comedians and is pretty much hilarious.

From sunbathing and picnics in the summer, to vigorous, refreshing walks in the winter, there’s always a reason to visit the parks in London. Places like Hyde Park, The Regent Park, Crystal Palace Park, Victoria Park, The Greenwich Park etc. have plenty of activities to offer.

Shopping in London is an experience on its own. From luxury shops such as Harrods, retail outlets like Dover Street Market and bargain fashions at London’s markets, London is an absolute dream for shopaholics.

If you love sport then you’ll love London. In 2012, London became the sporting center of the world when it hosted the Olympic Games. London has a total of 13 professional football clubs of its own. You can always watch a cricket match at Lords, see the pros in action at Wimbledon, or go to see a football or rugby match at the incredible Wembley Stadium.

After visiting London once, you can’t resist wanting to visit it again and again. This constantly changing city means that you’ll never get bored.
