Zaiqay Frontier Kay – Dera Ismail Khan Kay Bhulay Bisray Pakwan is a Markings Publishing Pakistani-India cookbook which is set to portray Pakistan at the Gourmand Awards who has also received the special jury award for ‘Cookbook and Peace’.
Markings is a Pakistan’s leading independent publisher who is set to represent Pakistan for the second time in a row on June 7th , 2015 at Gourmand award ceremony for the Hindi-Urdu Pakistan-India collaborative cookbook, Zaiqay Frontier Kay – Dera Ismail Khan Kay Bhulay Bisray Pakwan.
It has been honored by the Gourmand Awards committee with its nomination in three categories; Best vegetarian cookbook, best culinary history cookbook and best local cuisine cookbook as ‘Best in the world’.
The winners were announced on Tuesday June 9, 2015 at the annual Gourmand Awards event set to take place in Yantai – the food capital of Shandong province in China. Indeed Zaiqay already holds an award in the “Cookbooks and Peace” category announced earlier this year and will be honored for this at the Gourmand Awards in a separate ceremony on June 8th 2015. Markings won their first prestigious Gourmand Awards for the title ‘Deliciously Yours’ by Lal Majid, in the “Best Pastry Sweets Cookbook” in 2014.
Representing the book at the event were the entire Bagai family, including Atul Bagai and the author’s granddaughter Saudamini Bagai. CEO Markings, Kiran Aman and Creative Director, Markings Tuba Arshad, represented the book’s publishers and Pakistan at the event.
