Victoria Beckham rose to fame as a member of one of the extremely successful girl band Spice Girls, but after breaking away from the pop world she has firmly established herself as fashion strength to be reckoned with. Not only is that, she the wife of the most wanted football star in this world, David Beckham which takes her to a whole new different level. With her trademark personalized stylish outfits in her signature black, Victoria has also become a fashion icon in this industry.
Known as “Posh Spice” in her band Spice Girls, whose debut album sold more than 20 million copies worldwide in 1996; she received worldwide recognition. She is also one of the most photographed women of the world as being a fashion icon and being married to a football star is bound to get attention of the paparazzi which also explains her trademark oversized sunglass! She once said these sunglasses protect her when she is not wearing make-up and keeps her safe from the close-up shots the tabloids want to publish all the time.
After her departure from the music scene, she stepped into the world of fashion where she again proved to quite successful. Not only did she design limited edition collections for “Rock and Repubic” and “VB Rocks” but launched he own label too called “dvb Style” in Saks Fifth Avenue consisting of a denim line and eyewear. A year later, she launched her perfume collection and then her make-up line “V-Sculpt” only within a gap of one month in between. Just recently, she launched her Autumn collection 2015 at the New York Fashion Week, which received a very positive response in the fashion world and even the vogue editors called it to be a “Stand out”.

This pop star turned designer has been successful in whatever she has done and the fashion world has especially been kind to her. Beckham has walked for Maria Grachvogel, Roberto Cavali, has been a brand ambassador for Dolce and Gabbana, face of Marc Jacobs and has been on the cover of Vogue- British, Russian and Indian edition. She even modeled for Emporio Armani underwear line because and I quote, “when I’m 50, I can look back and say, ‘Hey, Mommy didn’t look too bad after having three kids,”. Not only this, she has even had four reality television shows based solely on her such as, Victoria’s Secrets, Being Victoria Beckham, The Real Beckhams and Victoria Beckham: Coming to America.
Today, she has a three floored store on the super fashionable Dover Street, right beside the Jimmy Choo store. Victoria has definitely made it to the top designers list and has become a serious fashion player and a big threat to her competitions. If there’s one thing she has succeeded at more than any of her equals, it’s producing a brand. Some give the credit of her success to her husband as he is a label himself and call her a “WAG” i.e. wives and girlfriends (of someone famous) but love her or hate her, she has, on her own become a fashion player one should watch out for!
