International fashion shows have given us some very trendy inspirations for the spring/summer season. Bringing a bolt of runway fashion to the limelight, we’ve selected the best(and the worst) looks for you to watch out for! Nevertheless our love for fashion makes us fall for it all.We see signs of the 1970’s summer dresses, some sporty touches and some hot shoulder, baring silhouette culottes! Oh yes, they are back. And so are the uniquely famous Gingham prints.
We are so used to see those printed cottons our grandmother’s had for their table cloth, who knew they would be the hottest trend in 2015! Thanks to Michael Kors, Bottega Veneta, Karen Walker for making us love those cool girl gingham prints. So whether it’s a sexed up shirt in sheers or a blown up sized skirt. Gingham is primed for street style worthy comeback. Talking about 70’s, we can remember the flared, denim and retro lapel in subtle touches. Say Hi to Prada and MiuMiu coats, Valentino pants, Jason wu’s hot formals and coat casuals that make a head to toe white chic look. Not to forget how the world is drooling over Victoria Bekham’s gingham pants.
Any of you miss putting shoulder pads this season? Sadly designers packed it all away and instead went with shoulder baring looks. May it be an off shoulder or a necklace? We loved Cloe, Versace, though the personal favourite was Balmin. Too hot!
We absoloutely adore high necks and this season they’ve gone even higher. Louis Vuitton, Dior, Valentino, Mc’Queen, Hermes, Dolce and Gabbana, all jumped the wagon on this trend.
Animal prints are classics, never a fad, never! This time we saw creepy crawlers, Scorpios, sea horses and jelly fish. Not forgetting Burberry’s honey bee, Valentino’s dragon and Louis Vuitton’s creeper.
Almost every single runway had stripes. Yes! Stripes were the major statement for almost every designer this year. I think Victoria Bekham and Michael Kors just did justice to stripes but Chanel out-shined them all.
What’s up with those entire aprons here? Is that what we are thinking this season the runway was all about giving a new purpose to skirts? Thanks to DKNY and Peter Som for that.
Contributed by Momal Ahmad a mixture of almost everything in the world.
