Khadijah Shah, the beauty and brains behind the name ÉLAN, took her enthusiasm and motivation from her mom Aneela Shah, who had prior experience with clothes and a loyal clientele. The idea of ÉLAN propelled and got built into a fashion brand that is known for its brilliance in work and a stickler for quality. Growing up watching her mom’s flourishing fashion business, Khadijah got her inspiration and distinct fascination in the realm of style and honed her work in fashion with all the exposure she could get and learn from at an early stage.
While finishing her studies in London she later came back to Pakistan and established a clearly formal association for the atelier currently known as ÉLAN. As the creator of ÉLAN, Khadijah has achieved and successfully been able to bring about a powerful brand which has now set a distinguishing mark for the designers in the fashion world.
ÉLAN is a brand largely acknowledged for its elegance, opulence and luxury. Made in 2006, the Style Dynamo attained its early achievement due to its excellence in detailing for their evening and bridal wears that exhibited refined outlining and silhouettes. Notwithstanding, its desired couture, ÉLAN produces an extravagant prêt-a-porter line. ÉLAN Lawn, the brand’s fiercely loved and customer favorite for the unstitched printed fabric gathering was introduced in 2012 and has rapidly turned into a mid-year must have.
In addition to the portfolio of the fashion house is ÉLAN Vital, a casual yet modern ready-to-wear line that has intrigued the women who are busy workaholics but cannot trade off the touch of sophistication and elegance that they desire in their clothing preferences.
In the year 2015, March has begun with a great expectations from Elan’s Lawn Summer Collection in collaboration with Sapphire Textiles and recently, Sapphire Lawn Vol I has been presented receiving great remarks and appreciation. The multi-faceted prints draw upon impacts from all over the world and the lively color palette can definitely not be overseen this spring. The accumulation and designs comprise of French impacts, Block Printing with a dash of Ethnicity mixed with Turkish bits and pieces.
